ColdFusion

ColdFusion is a web application server now owned by Macromedia Adobe.

I have been using ColdFusion since 1995, when I started working at Creative Internet Solutions (CIS, now part of Syntegra, a division of British Telecom). CIS was the first commercial web shop to use ColdFusion because its founder happened to be roommates with J.J. Allaire (the man who invented ColdFusion), so I was fortunate to be there at the beginning.

Some of my code contributions to the community can be found at CFLib.org.

I also created the open source project SLIMBot, a package for building easily extensible commands executed via instant messenger, as well as a CFC for interacting with Pivotal Tracker. My slightly dated CFC Best Practices summary continues to get a surprising number of hits.

One of my first major ColdFusion projects, Nicenet, continues to live on. We're currently building an updated version to take advantage of the newer CF features.
